Secondborn - Greatborn

One of the most outstanding of those rising from the pods. They are more beast than the general shape of early ‘other born’ but hold a sharp intellect. Large reptilian creatures with great mighty wings and sizes that can rival the largest towers. The Secondborn are unmatched in strength and size and have yet to have one expire from age as well. However a limiting factor in their population is the large amount of food needed to sustain one of later age. Generally they have friendly relations with one another however they hold some allegiance to the country in which their home resides. They are also gifted with the natural ability of shape shifting, however any half born may only shape shift to their other parent’s race.   Pureblood
  • +1 Constitution, +1 Charisma
  • Commonform: Have shapeshift to any Borns species as a (Proficiency Modifier) times per day ability.
  • Hardened Scales: Whatever a purblood's AC is considered as a Greatborn their common form possesses the same AC.
  • Growing Blood: A Pureblood Greatborn slowly grows with their inner self, and is not directly tied to their age, though typically the two correlate. At incremental levels. Any damage they take in their Greatborn form however will transfer down to their common form, beware as the temporary health is only good while in their form as Greatborn.
  • Level 1 - AC: 10 + Dexterity or Constitution Modifier + Proficiency Modifier. Bonus Health when in Greatborn form: Can expend 1 hit die + Constitution Modifier. Flight: Incapable of flight. Size: Is considered medium. Access to claw attack (1d6 + Strength Modifier)
  • Level 9 - AC: 10 + Dexterity or Constitution Modifier + Proficiency Modifier. Bonus Health when in Greatborn form: Can expend 2 hit die + Constitution Modifier + 2x (Proficiency Modifier). Flight: Thirty feet. Size: Is considered large. Access to claw attack (1d8 + Strength Modifier) as well as a 15 foot elemental cone of fire breath (DC: Constitution or Charisma Modifier + 8 + Proficiency Modifier. Damage: 2d10 + Charisma or Constitution Modifier, this requires all attack actions. If the target succeeds a Dexterity saving throw they take half damage.)
  • Level 18 - AC: 10 + Dexterity and Constitution Modifier + Proficiency Modifier. Bonus Health when in Greatborn form: Can expend 4 hit die + 2x Constitution Modifier + 4x (Proficiency Modifier). Flight: Ninety feet. Size: Is considered large. Access to claw attack (1d12 + Strength Modifier) as well as a 30 foot elemental cone of fire breath (DC: Constitution or Charisma Modifier + 8 + Proficiency Modifier. Damage: 4d10 + 2x Charisma or Constitution Modifier, this requires all attack actions. If the target succeeds a Dexterity saving throw they take half damage.)
  • Growth of the Inner Self beyond this point can take on drastically different transformation of a Greatborn's form, which should be discussed with the DM. That is not to say changes can not occur before level 18 but this is the basic system for a Pureblood Greatborn.
  Halfblood
  • +1 Constitution
  • Greatform: May shapeshift into their Greatborn form (proficiency modifier) times per day, this ends when they choose so. Any damage they take in their Greatborn form however will transfer down to their common form, beware as the temporary health is only good while in their form as Greatborn.
  • Level 1 - AC: 13 + Dexterity or Constitution Modifier. Bonus Health when in Greatborn form: Can expend 1 hit die + Constitution Modifier + Proficiency Modifier. Flight: Incapable of flight. Size: Is considered medium. Access to claw attack (1d6 + Strength Modifier)
  • Level 9 - AC: 13 + Dexterity or Constitution Modifier. Bonus Health when in Greatborn form: Can expend 2 hit die + Constitution Modifier + 2x (Proficiency Modifier). Flight: Twenty Feet. Size: Is considered medium. Access to claw attack (1d8 + Strength Modifier).
  • Level 18 - AC: 13 + Dexterity and Constitution Modifier. Bonus Health when in Greatborn form: Can expend 4 hit die + 2x Constitution Modifier + 4x (Proficiency Modifier). Flight: Sixty feet. • Greatborn Features: Despite being able to transform into a Greatborn with reduced effect, halfbloods alternatively may bring their Greatborn feature's to their own form as well. However for each stage of transformation taken all previous levels must of been taken, which occurs over one turn of time and does 1d8 unresistable internal damage to the halfblood. These transformations are only removed at the end of (Constitution or Charisma Modifier) x (Proficiency Modifier) hours, or until the halfblood dismisses them.
  • Level 1 - Stage One: A halfblood grows claws which deal (1d6 + Strength or Dexterity Modifier)
  • Level 5 - Stage Two: A halfblood grows a tail which adds onto of all other modifiers their (Proficiency Modifier) onto any acrobatics roll. The tail can be used as an attack in a five foot cone with a DC of (8 + Dexterity or Strength Modifier + Proficiency Modifier). The target take 2d6 + Strength Modifier damage on a failed Dexterity save or half on a successful save.
  • Level 10 - Stage Three: A halfblood grows wings and has the ability of flight, their flight speed is (Strength or Dexterity Modifier) x 8, and can stay aloft for (Proficiency Modifier) turns before needing to land for a turn.
  • Level 15 - Stage Four: A halfblood transform into an ever more hybrid state of their two bloods, growing larger durable scales across their body, add their Constitution Modifier to their AC.
