Ninethborn - Feral Folk

Perhaps one of the least peaceful sentient Borns, having had a difficult time at first transitioning to civilization. Ninethborn are furred bipedal figures varying in size and shape depending on what predatory mammal they emulate. It was once suspected they were multiples Borns but after centuries of mixed breeding a child can seem to emulate any variant as long as it’s in the parent’s bloodline.   Pureblood
  • +2 Strength
  • Feral Rage: Ninethborn purebloods are rather primordial in their battle rage, as if the most basic instincts of a creature and their fight or flight biology. For this reason purebloods can invoke a feral rage (Proficiency Modifier) times a day and lasts for (Constitution Modifier + Strength Modifier) turns. During this time they reduce the physical damage they take by their (Constitution or Strength Modifier). They also will not fall unconscious when rendered to zero health points.
  • Beast's Nose: Pureblooded Feral folk have a very acute sense of smell whenever there is a test that requires smell such as perception, investigation, or survival they gain their proficiency modifier on top of any other modifiers.
  Halfblood
  • +1 Strength
  • Biting Back: Halfbloods have a far more moderate temper than their pureblood brethren though they suffer a much more explosive reaction when pushed to their limit. When damaged by an attacker they are aware of they gain (Proficiency Modifier) charges, which can be held to a max of (Constitution Modifier x Strength Modifier) charges. Five charges can be expended to make an opportunity attack against an attacker, ten can be used to make an additional attack during an attack action and twenty can be used to gain an entire extra action. When at half health or lower and struck by an attacker, the halfblood must make a wisdom saving throw against a DC which is their current held charges. If they fail they go into a blind rage and randomly attack any available targets friend or foe alike. During this time every turn expends twenty charges and the halfblood possesses two actions during this time and reduces damage taken by (Constitution Modifier + Strength Modifier). This rage ends when the halfblood runs out of tokens or is reduced to zero health points. They suffer two points of exhaustion after this rage ends.
