Eighteenthborn - Heralds

The Eighteenthborn are a very pleasant on the eyes Borns. With a light glow to their extremely fair skin their bodies are sleek or well toned with normal pigments for skin. Their hair is some of the finest material known as well as their feathers, which come from their perfectly white and extremely large wings that sprout from their backs. They can obtain flight for extended periods of time but their wings are massive because of it and even the women of the race tend to have well off upper body strength to compensate for the muscles required. They tend to be slightly taller than average.   Pureblood
  • +1 Dexterity +1 Charisma
  • Hands of Life or Death: The Heralds have a general way about their life and essence. Their hands specifically are a focus of this natural ability that seems to pull on the very strings connecting the living or undead to their body. This is treated like a normal touch spell, and when offensive requires there to be an attack using (Charisma Modifier or Dexterity Modifier + Proficiency Modifier). The Pure Blood Herald may use this ability (Proficiency Modifier) times before needing a long rest. They may either heal a creatures wounds at (Proficiency Modifier)d8 + (Charisma Modifier or Dexterity Modifier) or inflict wounds upon a creature (Proficiency Modifier)d10 + (Charisma Modifier or Dexterity Modifier) necrotic damage. This does not require vocal components, only touch. This is visible either as a small bit of light or a darker essence around the Herald’s hands.
  • Emissaries of the Dying: Once per round with a pureblood’s connection to life and death, they may choose the very survival of those dying around them. In one (Charisma Modifier or Dexterity Modifier + Proficiency Modifier) times five feet around them. Herald may use their bonus action to give someone a fail or success on their death saving throw. It requires them to know that the individual is on death’s door but does not require them to see the individual. This ability can be used ((Charisma Modifier or Dexterity Modifier) x Proficiency Modifier) times per day.
  Halfblood
  • +1 Charisma
  • Life Exchange: Halfbloods Eighteenthborn have a much more twisted yet perhaps more powerful ability on life and death. A halfblood may once per turn exchange hit points at a maximum of proficiency modifier hit dice, this does not expend hit dice when used. They may choose to not exchange the entirety of what they rolled but it must be through touch and requires an intimate form of touch. This may also aid those that have only died in (Proficiency Modifier) turns. The halfblood has to lose health equal to the entire health point pool of the one that they are reviving in necrotic damage. A halfblood may willingly sacrifice themselves if they do not have enough of a large enough health point pool to survive the event however that only bring the revived individual to one health point.
