Horly City
Previously known as Howrlijiama -name given by early Mijazan mappers- or Honogans, as mentioned by Kyoda traveller Tamago Kashi, the Horly City is a large settlement in the system of Garlem.
Known as the city of the thousand minds, Horly City was the born place of innumerable phylosophers, scientists and thinkers. Poets such as Sada Bokyo commented on the city's culture as well.
...and while them peasants would never truly encompass the beauty of Kyoda, there is no misplaced respect regarding their culture, architecture, politics system and beliefs.Horly city has been known for a long time for its exquisite arquitecture, often presenting white impecable "Garlian" Marble, accompanied by yellow and red paintures. Structures built with the material locally often present hand-made carvings in the shape of curves, circular holes, and straight lines, reminiscent of the Garlian Empire. The city is considered the peak of Garlian Architecture, leading the galaxy in the field.
Infrastructure
The city has a very organic street layout. Buildings usually stay around 15 meters, and rare go above 4 floors, usually reserved for places of cult, governance, or "majesties"; a term used by locals to refer to buildings and sructures with the sole purpose of embellishement and/or admiration.
Among all major "majesties", 3 stand out for their size. The largest of them, the Horlyan City Forum, stands out for its red dome with golden statues and spikes, home to the lejislative branch of government.
The other 2 are the Temple of Arathis, Queen of the oceans, and the Mall of Garthis, Goddess of the sky, both believed to be the creators of the city.
The city is notable for its extensive use of tramways, often called "White-Wagons" in the various dialects spoken in the city, most of which are painted in crimson, gold, white, turquoise, or green, representing the 5 main transit hubs of the city, one for each district.
