The City of Redemption

Zateric, the last bastion of mankind in the world. A place who stands against the everlasting mist of death that ran over the world four centuries ago. More than millennia ago, a prophecy was delivered from the heavens, a promise of salvation for those that managed to build the greatest city in the world, and warnings of damnation for those that weren't inside it when the Calamity would be delivered upon men. These words came from the mouth of the Great Prophet, Zater the Herald, but not many listened to him. Only the Great King of Myths, Alberan Daegllion, paid attention to the prophecy.   With the workforce of thousands, advice from the smartest minds and the swords of the finest adventurers, the Great King and the Great Prophet built the largest feat of engineering ever made: the City of Zateric, fortified by many levels of walls, protected by powerful and magnificent war machines, armed with some of the most powerful artifacts and spells the world could ever dream of. It costed all of Daegllion's realm, that got reduced to only the City. But it was for the best, for thirteen centuries after the construction of Zateric, the Calamity came.   Every single other nation, king or individual in the world was consumed by it. In the end, only Zateric and it's people stood. And it stand until today, and shall stand forever, for redemption is guaranteed for the inhabitants of the City.
