Guiding Beacon
When the skies are dark and no stars light your way, search for the flame of the Beacon and hope the Current doesn't claim you this day.
Architecture
A gigantic structure made entirely from stone, the Beacon has only two gates of access located at its square-shaped base. After each gate, the walls stretch into the sky, presenting an enormous silhouette of a tree on each of the four sides.
Right after the body of the Beacon surpasses the defensive walls of Fyr-Elfhafen, and at about half of its total height, its width is reduced as a secondary section stretches into the clouds. In this section, each side presents a different sigil, one for each of the four segregated islands in the Port-City.
The last quarter of its total height is taken by its last section, where a tall chamber made of nothing but a square stone platform, interrupted only by the entrance from the inner stairs below and the columns which support the dome above. However, on the center of this open chamber lies the most recognizable aspect of this monument: Its never-ending flame.
Kept alight through a constant supply of fuel along with spells to increase the size of the flames, the light from the Guiding Beacon is increased through illusion spells that make it reach miles and miles into the sea, serving as the reference point to most who sail The Abyssal Current along the coast of Rendära-düh.
