Evaporation of Divinity

As time flew and the constraints of laws were tested by these mighty mythical creatures, there was a formation of what was tangible as commonplace rules and logic. Rules such as how an apple would fall from a tree, and 1+1 would be 2, these governing rules would become unchangeable. Creatures of all kinds would then follow suit. They would live under a new environment where logic was known and rules were set, thusly becoming creatures that we now know today.   However, as these creatures began to comprehend themselves, and the world itself as the laws slowly came into place, this eventually led to the decline of Great Magic itself. The ancient creatures that once roamed the world slowly vanished. As the sands of time slowly faded existence Some would leave the planet, others remained watchful, and others may embody themselves into the world itself.   While many civilizations existed prior to the Evaporation of Divinity, many records were not kept due to the raging The Dominion Wars that later took place.   In the case of the powerful Divinities that once roamed the land, they have slowly left the land, governing their influence from afar. They would grant their powers through creatures and individuals that best suited their beliefs.   It is very rare, however, that they personally intervene. The appearance of a Divinity in its true form would break the delicate balance that the world presently possesses. That is why many powerful deities will either send an avatar, speak through an oracle, or bless a champion that would do their Law.   Laws are examples of what a divinity's Edict is to the extreme.   A fundamental power that Deities can utilize to impose a change and sway the world, despite the established law of the present universe.   As a result, divinity may continue to influence the world through these manners indirectly, despite their "evaporation" from the planes of existence.
