Kiluru*

Volatile carbons make the world go round and the ships go zoom. Nowhere is this more true than in Kiluru*.

Geography

On a system level, Kiluru* is fairly typical, and quite similar to Concordia*. No binaries and cycles within cycles like Huitzli*, no tidal locks like Cardinal*, and no megastructures like Sagarmatha*. Just a simple, resource-rich star system, providing the galactic economy with exactly what it needs.    And what it needs, Ciel d'Ivoire provides. Ciel for short, Ciel d'Ivoire is the third planet from the star of Kiluru, and the primary habitable planet in the system. It is the home of the Kiluru people, and it's volatile carbons fuel stellar travel in Cishadar. But the planet's beauty goes much further than what you can pull out of it. Above ground, the planet gets its name from the near-constant haze around its equatorial regions. With massive oceans dominating the north and south of the planet, the equatorial continents are shrouded in a constant rolling mist.   Outside of Ciel d'Ivoire, Kiluru* also has an abundant and easily exploitable asteroid belt. Kiluru*'s belt had some of the most extensive mining even before Concordian contact, and that exploitation has only accelerated since first contact.

Natural Resources

Where Transhadar grows its rocket fuel on hydrox reed plantations, Ciel's strange biosphere and geological cycles riddle its crust with "blood diamonds," or the solid volatile carbon compounds that can be refined into the best fuel in the galaxy outside of Hidden Dynamo Reactors.
