Ealdwulf the Unfortunate is the grandfather of Wulmar the Protector.

He was a little out of shape.

His fur was a dark black color. He was a bit out of shape pulling a bit of a stomach.

He had brown eyes and a long black snout with some white around his nose and mouth.

Personal history

Ealdwulf was born in Hazelfall to King Bedwig and Queen Gæfa. He was prepared to become king for his entire young years and became an international 'celebrity' due to his kind nature and love for nature. In 789 YSC, he married a girl named Ailred and they fell in love. 11 years later, they had their first and only son named after him. As the prince, Ealdwulf was made an emissary to the Mirrac nations. His talks were fairly successful and started some unification processes. All was well for the family, until 837 when King Bedwig was injured in a hunting accident. Ealdwulf and the rest of the empire mourned the loss of the king, but they all knew that the empire was in good hands. And it was, Ealdwulf continued talks with the northern bear kingdoms on unionization, founded the first national park in the world, passed laws protecting wildlife, sent aid to struggling nations, and improved the hostile relations with the Mirrac, ending hostile riots in parts of the kingdom. He and Elberwulf of the Maccadinean empire both were in the talks of a peace treaty between the wolves and bears. It was going to be finalized the day after Ealdwulfs 100th birthday which is now called 'The Bloody Centennial'. People across the realm came to celebrate his birthday but during the feast, the wolves came to him and told him that there was a thief up the road. There was no thief. Thinking nothing of it, Ealdwulf continued the feast until another wolf walked up to him and shot him in the heart. Doctors and guards couldn't get to him in time and he was killed.

Accomplishments & Achievements

He saved many animals from extinction and help restore some forests. Ealdwulf improved diplomatic relations with countless kingdoms and sent aid programs to struggling nations. He founded the first national park in the world, The Carnberg National Park, near the city of Oakendale.

Ealdwulf loved seafood, everything about it. He loved animals and did much to help the animals and their environments. He enjoyed painting and music.

One thing that Ealdwulf hated the most were liars.

Through his ~70 year rule, he started unifcation of most the bearfolk. He made many new forests and aided animals. He helped many of the poor and desperate making him loved throughout the kingdom.

He spoke in a rather slow tone and had a bit of a stutter. He was a polite, nice, and honest man who sought to help many.
