Elena’s Journal
A battered old journal, most of the pages missing, save for 2. One page is the folowing, the other a mad scribble, written with a metal-tipped quill missing one of it’s prongs reads: “He knows, he knows, he knows, I’ve got to go. He knows. If you find this Mary, burn it, don’t let him see it, he can’t know it all.”.
Purpose
A journal kept by Elena Pierce, a castle maid that caught the fancy of a powerful noble, Lord Ashcombe, and was forced into a relationship, as to refuse his advances would be tantamount to suicide.
Historical Details
Background
The only other page besides the shriveled note in Elena’s Journal (Servant’s dues)
History
Written moments before Ashcombe stormed into the servant’s quarters, having learnt of Elena’s pregnancy and, wanting to avoid an illegitimate child (and his wife’s discovery of the relationship), murdered Elena with a dagger, which he left in her skull. This is an hour before the casting.
