The Cage

The Cage was created as a place to throw all of the mistake the gods made while creating the world. Yahweh, the eldest son of Avoros, God of Gods, condemned his father and siblings to the realm after killing his mother. The reasoning is a long creation myth. The world is split into five realms. First is the outside. That's a misnomer. The Outside is so high up, it can't be seen. It houses the gods. Next is Avira. It's a country of hundreds of floating cities that were chained down after they started flying too close to the outside. Below them is Gaian. Gaian has a range of diverse cultures and beasts. At night, demons rise from Xanledash to feast or bring their masters food. Under the surface of Gaian, is Kaviru. A lot of mortals decided to dig down to avoid the hardship of living on Gaian. Resources are scarce and they survive by trading precious metals and gems. The last level is Xanledash, the realm of demons. All evils from vampires and wendigos to archfiends and fallen gods live here. When the gods were imprisoned, Avoros came up with a lie to solidify their rule over the Cage. A false prophecy that said a child of earth would bring salvation for all of them. So for thousands of years, children from earth were ripped from their homes to be a false savior. One man found out the truth from a fallen god, Virasu, the God of Wrath. His name is George Wickett. He and his allies were granted the knowledge and power to defeat a god. After killing Treya, the Goddess of Deceit, George and his lover, Kassanddra of Nethylor, built a nation from New Earth, a pocket dimension created by the first child of earth. Now his Godslayers wander the realms, hunting demons and divine creatures alike for pay. The setting of this story is Bassech, a large trading port in the Empire of Agrua. Agrua is infamous for discriminating against anything they deem unholy. Godslayers are the height of that. Yet, people still hire them to exterminate demons.
