Saraya was born a few years after Kassandra, however, was raised by her father Virasu. Saraya had been trained under the same harsh conditions as Kassandra would be later on, but took it in stride. Her actions always took her down the path of least resistance. When Kassandra arrived, she recognized the difference of her older sister's fiery spirit and strong will. She new not to intervene, as no matter what she did, Virasu would break her. There was only one point where Saraya rebelled against her father. The moment she learned that Virasu was an enemy of the Gods, she left him to avoid damnation and turned to her aunts and uncles. Ealdir, God of Elements saw opportunity in her and granted her a Divine Art. She pledged herself to him and under his orders, went undercover as an exceptionally powerful dame of Emperor Bealdwin IV.
