Maxruak, God of Glory

Maxaruak

"Pride was not so effective as a source of Corruption on Maxaruak as some of the other dark divinities were to other gods. This is because pride is in Maxaruak's nature. He values glory and the honor in battle above all else. Fervor and zeal is bred within people aren't a danger to society thanks to his presence. Soldiers want to fight for their country. Heroes want to fight for the name of their love. And priests want to fight on behalf of their god. Passion and will to fight were born of him and for that, some are eternally grateful." - The Divine Pedigree   Maxaruak is the God of Glory and as such, is responsible for the feeling of wanting to fight on behalf of something like fame. He is why codes of honor exist in battle. If Gorshec had his way, women and children would be slaughtered without mercy and yielding would be nothing but a pathetic beg for mercy.

Personal history

Maxaruak was born with a fervor and passion like Gorshec, but was raised mainly by his sister Krisiah, who taught him the value of ethics and morality. Upon first trying out this concept with his own family, he found that he was given attention and revered for such practices of ethics and as such, gave the gift of glory and honor onto mortals, hoping they would find the same joy he did. During the second Divine War, he defeated Khorvath, God of Pride in battle and took his dark divinity. Nothing much changed in Maxaruak, since pride is what he already thrived on.
