Khulan Mandreth is the preordained hero of Kaviru. He is one of the founding members of the Keldyme Coalition and the one destined to bring an end to Erin Storfal.

Personal history
Khulan was born to an Orcish mother and a Drow father. His mother was a slave of his father and therefore, he too, was born a slave for being part of a lower race. During his child hood, he toiled in his father's forges. Around the time he was fourteen, he was sold to a friend of his father's and assign to be the personal servant of a Drow girl who was his new master's daughter. After a few years, his mistress started demanding that he service her by sating her sexual needs. Blinded by a sense of attachment and what he believed were feelings of love, he obliged. When he confessed his feelings for her, she harshly put him in his place and had him flogged for his insolence. Not too soon after, a slave rebellion took place. Khulan's mistress was killed and he was taken to the surface of Gaian, where he found a new life worshipping the gods. Only three years later, the monastery he stayed in was burned to the ground during a fight between George Wickett and a Wyvern. George had been forced to kill everyone in the monastery because they impeded his quest to kill the Divine creature. Hungry for vengeance, Khulan answered Amber Nharu's call for all those who are chosen by the gods and loyal to their purpose. During the Nharuum's first raid on Draal Nazar, he was faced in combat by a girl who had a remarkably similar face to his former mistress, Erin Storfal. She recognized the hardships he'd had in life jut by looking at him and took pity, offering a safe place. A home that wouldn't be destroyed. But in accordance with his loyalty and his disdain for her similarity to his mistress, he declined and swore to destroy her and all she held dear.
