Bassech
Bassech is a spiraling metropolis in East Agrua. Bassech is the major trading port in Aewith, as it has the largest harbor in West Gaian. Merchants from all over come to Bassech to make trades with people from further off continents like Auclor. Bassech is also known for the amount of executions held in its public squares. Agrua has a strict policy against magic, like most religiously motivated countries. Mages, sorcerers, alchemists, sages and druids are all brought to Bassech to observe its wonders before being burned at the stake.

All permanent denizens human. Agrua has a strict law against nonhumans.
Government
The Settlement is run by a governor who reports directly to the Agruan Emperor.
Defences
Bassech is equipped with walls, defense towers with ballistae on top. Archers line the walls and garrisons of Agruan soldier are patrolling the streets everywhere.
Industry & Trade
Bassech makes the majority of its money from tolls merchants have to pay to land there. They have a decent fish market, but that doesn't make nearly as much money.
Infrastructure
Roads cover the entire city and the entire place is protected by a series of walls. A system of sewers runs underground, which is often infested with Merrow. The most impressive piece is the harbor, which is over two miles long. Hundreds of ships can anchor there at once.

Aside from the Empire itself, there is a secret society called The Hand That Moves that worships Treya, Goddess of Deceit and has decent control over most politicians.

The settlement was built soon after Agrua began its crusade against all of Aewith.
