Flesh Forges

Flesh Forge is the colloquial name giving to the factories that mass produced Chimera's, by layman and commoners. Considered to be just slang of the uneducated and low born, the aristocratic and corporate class highly discourages the use of this slang in referring to the factories. Though it has become commonplace to describe the factories by this name even in places like the courts.

Utility

To create Chimeras. It was discovered to create a work force that can be used for both military and civil purposes. With the theft of corporate secrets on the production of chimera criminal organizations have created them, using them for crime and other villainous schemes.

Manufacturing

Vivamancers would shape null flesh( special alchemically created artificial cells similar to stim cells.) around what is called a scaffolds or mold system to create the different systems and parts of the creature. The first system to be shaped and form is the creatures skeletal system, in which the other systems like the circulatory system, Muscular system etc would be formed around. Though this doesn't include a digestive system or reproductive system. Chimeras have an alchemical mixture pumped into their circulatory system directly making their no need for a digestive system. After the creation of the husk or form of the creature, this infantile form is then placed in a incubation sphere in which is an alchemical and nutrient bath were mutagens will be introduced. The incubation period is were the creatures life threads form and dictate its overall physical form and utility. Though Chimeras are made in such a way were new mutagens can be introduced into its system allowing it to quickly adapt to and be changed by it. Allowing chimera to have greater utility.
Later innovations industrialized the shaping process and take out the need for vivamancers to spend weeks on one chimera model. With the adaption of marionette units and with the advancements in null flesh incubation times the shaping of the creatures forms have been greatly decreased. Allowing chimera to be mass produced. Though with Zarelith Cervova's death many of his discoveries were lost including a large portion of the mutagens used to alter chimeras forms.

Inventor(s)

Zarelith Cervova was the original inventor. The Hephaistos Origins industries has gained the rights to the Flesh Forges licenses and allows a handful of other companies to use the flesh forge licenses and create chimeras.
Zarelith Cervova was an eccentric individual born to a wealthy family. Who believed in fashion and eccentricities in all aspects of life. His family flaunted their wealth, and would buy the newest fashions and styles and spend large amounts of funds in new trends. His father was obsessed with animal husbandry and breeding of dogs and horses. When Zarelith Cervova was six years of age his father hired a vivamancer to alter the breeds of animals he owned. This situation and speaking with the foreign, forean mage had a huge influence on him, and started his love for the manipulation and alteration of living things. When Zarelith Cervova came of age he went to school for alchemical studies because he realized he lacked any ability and the mind for the field and study of weaving/castings. He inherited his families wealth when they passed away in a tragic aeronautical accident a year before Zareliths graduation. His loss is what most likely created his obsession in his work and research.

Access & Availability

The technology and knowledge to produce Chimera is strictly regulated. Only few Companies hold the copyrights to manufacture Chimera and innovate and create new models. Though the organization known as the eye has stolen corporate secrets. Allowing for the underground production of Chimera for the use of criminal activities.

Complexity

The technology is complex and quiet involved. It involves the use of a scaffold or mold system, the creation and use of alchemical substances and the shaping and sculpting of artificial/organic materials. As well as the caretaking and observation of incubation spheres. In which the chimera models grow and in which their life threads form which expresses/dictates its form.

Discovery

Discovered and invented by Zarelith Cervova who used the first flesh forges to produce chimeras. As a way to create the most unique customizable designer animals or minions. It took years for the technology to leave its infancy. By the time Cervova had his breakthrough with the technology he was in his late twenties, he had spent much of his families wealth and was squatting in a friends basement. Though the first models were little more then moving chunks of flesh and goo. These breakthroughs came to him in his most desperate time while he was overdosing on the large amounts of narcotics he took to ease his pain. With the breakthrough came a new passion a new life and a new light. He found his purpose unlike most and made it through his desperate times. He used the last of his life to innovate on the technology improving and optimizing continuously.
