Kannerezed

The Midnight Washerwomen

Kannerezed Noz are three old laundresses in Celtic mythology.   According to the myth and folklore of the Bretons, the three old women go to the water's edge at midnight to wash shrouds for those about to die, and the blood from the clothing of their killers.   They are part of the ancient tradition of the triple goddess of death and slaughter.
