Bay of Douarnenez

A wide bay, the County of Kernev to the south, to the north waves wash the coast of Leon.   Douarnenez is formed of a vast semi-circular basin over 10 miles wide and 13 miles from its entrance to the opposite shore.   The mythical town of Ys , which legend says was engulfed by the ocean, is commonly said to be located in this bay.
The bay is said to be home to Mari-Morgans, water spirits that lure sailors with their hypnotic voices and drown men.
