The Border Wilds

Centuries ago conflict erupted between the Kingdom of Seluvia and the Quirius Empire. What started as a minor border skirmish soon grew into one of the most devastating wars in history, with both sides fielding vast armies, massive war machines and devastating magics. The resulting conflict devastated the lands over which they were fought, destroying wildlife, carving apart the earth and shattering mountains. Eventually, after decades of bloodshed, peace was finally negotiated. As a part of the peace agreement, both nations agreed to never again settle the region between their kingdoms where many of the wars battles were fought, creating a no mans land known as the Border Wilds.   The Border Wilds would not remains unsettled forever, however. In the last three centuries settlers have begun to return to the wilds, founding new towns and cities and carving out their own kingdoms from the places left behind by the great powers. Life in the Border Wilds can be hard, the wilds are a dangerous place. but with danger comes opportunity.
