The Book of Roads

A world where the fantastic mingles among the mundane; Where Philosopher Knights ride down country roads, where shape-shifting animals frequent local taverns, and where an epic adventure can begin by taking the wrong turn down an alley.   Set in strange realm where the distance between two points is not constant. Where the edges of places can be mapped, but there centers can never be fully explored. Where the true explorer can travel anywhere in a day, even to the other side of reality itself.   Many survive by sticking to known paths, where the lost can easily find there way back. Places Where societies can either live and die in secret or be anchored together into vast empires. These are mere pockets of safety lost in endless wilderness filled with wonder, terror, and power. All waiting for the few brave enough to risk the unknown.
