President Burr runs for his second term in office against fellow Federalist General William Anderson.Anderson led a campaign denouncing President Burr’s decision to aid Napoleon and calling him a disgrace to Hamilton’s legacy.

This is where the Federalist party fractured into the Prosperity Party led by Burr and the Patriot party led by Anderson.The founding ideals of the Patriot party incorporated the early ideals of the republic calling upon Hamiltons promise to end slavery and Burr’s reluctance to see it through.The Prosperity Party preached that idealism is good when it is able to be fully incorporated while idealism without a clear plan is futile.The Prosperity party believed that it was right to preserve their nation by any means possible often saying that America under the patriot party would collapse like the First French Republic.Both parties see themselves as the true successors to the federalists.
