Military action
Having heard news of Napoleons victory at the battle of Lyons, The king of Denmark was sure that the French Empire will be reestablished.Denmark quickly aligns themselves with Napoleon by lending financial support but not troops and sees opportunity to seize valuable colonies in Britain. The Anglo-Danish colony war begins with Danish troops marching on Newfoundland,Nova Scotia and annexing all the Canada and Hudson Bay territory. Britain was already undermanned from the previous Napoleonic conflicts and were still fighting in France so the Danish were able to take a large swath of territory. The Danish forces band together with Quebec separatists and they are promised the ability to form a new nation. Anglo-Danish colony war ends, with Britain succeeding large amounts of territory to the Danish Empire. They rename the territory “New Ribe”.
