The large, modern capital city, situated on the coast in the north-west corner of the country. New Haliente is bustling in every corner - with both humans and the supernatural.

Demographics

While bustling with humans, the city's underside is crawling with spirits, phantoms, demons, vampires, werewolves. These are more commonly seen in the poorer, rougher areas of New Haliente.

Industry & Trade

As with many capital cities, New Haliente is a tourist hub, and home to the country's main business and finance offices. It is known for its huge dockyards, where most of the country's overseas trade takes place. New Haliente is also famous for a particular strip of markets and restaurants in the city centre.

Architecture

Very modern, with lots of tall skyscrapers made of glass. Somewhat like New York in its design.

Geography

Set just inland of the coast, along the estuary, with bridges across the river on both sides. Surrounded by small mountains and forests, which are popular in the summer. To the south-west is the nation's largest protected natural forest, Royal Forest. The forest blocks New Haliente off from the rest of the nation.

Natural Resources

Because it's right on the coast, New Haliente has a large fishing industry. The mountains are also popular for skiing and snowboarding in the snowy season.
