The gods are long gone, they abandoned this universe long ago. They watched the war tear this solar system apart, then fled as atrophy took hold of these worlds. Even with atrophy - The Great Destroyer - subdued, they will not return. The gods have left us to die.

These worlds three once prospered, once flourished. Back when things were still light. Back when the people were kind and lived and knew that their death would be the end of it. Back when the Plasmaticans still watched over and collected the souls of the dead. Eldkula was a beautiful world on fire, home to the most famous blacksmiths in the system. Now its magma cools, its volcanoes only trickle with no eruptions. Vattenmassor sits frozen, almost trapped in time, the crater that once was most of the planet a constant reminder of The Great Destroyer. Hörlurar is silent, having lost so much and so many, it hurts to hear the whispers of their voices in the wind.

We are what is left of civilization. Our dwindling numbers, our lack of hope.

The Hikaris would rather have died in the war, they will not face the light of day. We can only hope that someone will save us not from the The Great Destroyer that threatened to end reality, but from the atrophy that has set into our souls.
