Walking into his office you expected an old man sitting at a desk filling out paperwork. Of course, it would be wrong to assume that here with such a diverse cast of creatures and people. However, seeing a dragon that doesn't fit the classical descriptions was surprising. He must stand up to fifteen feet tall and as wide as a two buses. Radiating energy was something else entirely and was certainly magical. The office was massive with just as massive furniture to fit his size. The blue carpet and drab decorations did little to give the room any energy. However, the dull atmosphere was certainly his intention. After looking at the room, you take look at him once more you can see just below his eyes were a small pair of reading glasses helping him with the material he was working on and his tail was flicking with irritation. However, his demeanor changes when he finally notices you.
With a flash of light, everything was normal size and instead of a magnificent dragon was an balding old man with the same glasses as before.

"Sorry about the appearance, I hear your kind appreciates a more down to earth look then something so large," he says with a warm smile.

The whole experience was surprising, but you get over and at this point it really shouldn't surprise you.

Special abilities

Asking a dragon if they have any unique abilities seems unnecessary, but Ethrienned is a different story.
You are far different then a typically dragon. What abilities do you have that are unique to yourself?

"If it is not obvious, I am magical like most mythical beasts. However due to my heritage I've been given much more unique skills." He said then transformed his right hand into the claws of his true form.

Well it's obviously shapeshifting, but most dragons can do that you remind him.

"So you are a scholar, while yes I do have that ability this is a mere illusion. I have a variety of power spells that I can cast at will and as much as I want. Also my scales produce an energy field which makes me resistant to magic and natural radiation. Along with a few other small things I am not to be trifled with on the battlefield." He said then returned to his human form.

What about your breath weapon?

"Ah yes the classic attack. Yes I can do that and it produces a force like energy to be released in a cone. It looks like watching a spinning galaxy and I have been told it looks beautiful." He replied.

Personal history

People don't really know Ethrienned other then his work within the Division. The oldest members say he has been around since the beginning, but he would claim otherwise. If the records about his species is true, then he could be ancient with a vast history and we would never even know.

What did you do before the Division?

He narrowed his eyes slightly then said, "That is not something I would normally discuss and certainly not with someone at your level. But... I can tell you this, I've been around here long enough that my time before it is miniscule compared to my time here working here."

What was your first position here?

"Well as it might surprise you I worked in the Department of Communications as a pencil pusher until I made my way here." He said and leaned back in his chair. "It was a long time ago for sure, but even with my skill set I had to start somewhere."

This was surprising. You couldn't imagine him working in the back as a simple organizer.

You have been the Prime Director for decades has it changed at all?

He chuckles slightly then leans forward, " I should correct you, centuries would be the proper term for my length in office. And yes it has certainly changed, but not in procedure. The various crises that we have to deal with change on a daily basis. For years it may be centered around one man then suddenly it's fixed and we hear nothing for a decade before the same person resurfaces. Then there is the occasional leaks that I have to remove from existence and that is always a pain. In end, I do that same things to fix a plethora of problems."

You can't imagine what he has seen and work with. If his age says everything, he has certainly seen the rise and fall of thousands of civilizations. Even with the ones that fall he would even bat an eye if the directive doesn't conflict.

What gets you up in the morning?

He sat back in thought for a minute the said "For one my beautiful mate Alynirala. She is my special ruby out here. I do not think I could last this long without her. And two, your mission statement. There is a reason I make everyone know it by heart and it is because I live by it. Our work is towards a better past, present, and future without intervention, but also never forgetting the people left behind."
