Felixxian Av'Kalos
Dr. Felixxian Av'Kalos (a.k.a. Felix)
Dr. Felixxian Av'Kalos, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and psychiatrist who specializes in trauma-based disorders. A fitting occupation considering most of the characters Passing Phantoms are extremely traumatized. Felix is a Dark Fae and the last living member of their species after being orphaned at an early age. As one could likely imagine, they are pretty upset about this and a very traumatized-- hence the reason they went into the brain healing business to begin with. They've lived a long time and have very few people they'd consider friends.
Physical Description
Body Features
Felix is a thin boy who greatly resembles a vampire physically. They are unnaturally pale, unnaturally spider-limbed, and have unnaturally sharp looking teeth. Has a pair of gossamer Faery wings they hide with their glamour.

Personal history
Felixxian Av'Kalos was born into a dark Fae family of Romani. For much of their childhood, they lived on the road, travelling everywhere and trying to make a living. When Felix was about four though, the town where they and their family lived for the time being cracked down in their laws against gypsies and the entire Caravan was destroyed. Felix and their father were the only ones to make it out of there alive. That night though, Felix meet Death for the first time.
What was left of Felix's family decided to move to America. There were few Romani and no Fae outside of Felix and their father. They thought they were safe, but Felix met death a second time. Their father was shot and Felix had to pretend to be dead in order not to be shot as well. Death stayed and comforted Felix for a while, but eventually had to leave to keep on performing their duties.
A year or so later, Felix meet Olga, a teenage housewife on the run from her abusive husband. Olga adopted them as her "little brother" and took care of them. They two traveled across America together, working odd jobs and exchanging information about each other's cultures and species. Olga aged much faster than Felix and soon pretended to be their nanny or mother instead of a sister. Felix would occasionally use their glamour to look more like Olga in addition to hiding his Fae aspects.
Eventually one day, Felix and in NOlga arrivedew York City, where they started to work for a business man called Daedalus Thana. He was quickly becoming important and wealthy, despite no one quite knowing his background. Felix accidentally dropped their glamour around him once day, causing the latter to realise they weren't human. Felix had a panic attack about this while Olga begged Daedalus not to tell anyone. Daedalus swore he would never, revealing that he himself was Fae. Felix thought that Daedalus was a Dark Fae, however, as Olga didn't know the difference when she was explaining this to Felix and Daedalus went along with the lie from shame of what he really was. Confusions were not set right until much later.
In the meantime, the three then became companions of sorts-- a found family of outcasts. Daedalus married Olga and his wealth and fame continued to grow. The two raised Felix as their child and were a rather happy family for a time. However, Olga's previous husband recognized her in newspapers, showed up one night, and left a teenage Felix orphaned once more.
Felix was devastated, and even though they had been left all of the money from Daedalus's business, lived in near poverty for ten human years. During this time they struggled with severe anxiety, depression, and flashbacks. After being committed to a mental hospital, watching several people they considered their ofriends takewn lives because of their trauma, and bring flirted with by Death now times than they felt comfortable, Felix decided to turn their life around.
They used their parents money to start learning about psychology and how the brain works, becoming a practicing psycho-therapist and psychiatrist with a special focus on trauma-related disorders. As an adult, they opened a practice in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. Their practice was very successful until one day, they ran into Olga.
Discovering that Olga and Daedalus were ghosts and living nearby made the young dark Fae very excited and their services as a counselor to both their former parents and the other Ghosts.
Then some drama happened, revealing that Daedalus was not a dark Fae! He was a Faery, a semi different species of Fae with a long running history of violence aimed at the Dark Fae! There was a family rift with Olga caught in the middle and for a long time, Daedalus and Felix didn't talk to each other. They pretended the other didn't exist and only hung around Olga when the other wasn't around.
Felix, an angry, betrayed young Dark Fae with a lot of raw magic and time in his hands, began dabbling in the dark arts. They learned to eat and devour souls to become more powerful, organizing a deal with the ghosts of the Ghost House to eat any souls they needed to grow more powerful.
This new power led to a decline in not only their work ethic, but moral compass as well. They frequently missed signs of depression, anxiety, and trauma in recently deceased who came in for evaluations. They also frequently made deals with ghosts that were deliberately designed to let Felix eat a part of their soul.
Olga did not know any the darker side of Felix's behaviors, despite being very close to them and being in their circle of trust. Still, her continued kindness and concerns over a recently deceased human called Theodorus Gardener started to influence Felix. They became racked with guilt over what they'd been doing, but didn't know how to fix it. Eventually, they started slowly rolling back their manipulative behaviors-- limiting the number of Ghosts they'd trick and hurt. Their intention was to slowly wean off this habit, but that was born disrupted by the near destruction of Theo Gardener's soul.
This led Felix down a very difficult road of not just recovery but Character Growth. Slow character growth. They went to therapy, worked very hard on their toxic behaviors, and did their best to earn back everyone's trust-- especially Olga and Theo's. It took a while-- several years in fact-- but eventually they got it. And then they became Theo's very good therapist because that boy needs it.
Gender Identity
Fae and Dark Fae gender is weird in that there a lot of different ones. Felix is technically cisgender and non-binary (agender), however most people see and refer to them as a cis male using he/him pronouns. It's confusing.

Felix was homeschooled for most of their childhood, either being taught by their parents or by themself. They eventually went to college and medical school where they earned a degree is psychology and psychiatry.

Mental Trauma
Felix has a lot of issues stemming from the fact that they watched familtheir entirey die not once but twice. They've had several breakdowns and while they like to think they've done a good job of fixing themself, a lot of their progress has come from actually going to therapy themself instead of self-medicating.

Felix is clever, I guess. They've been around for quite a while and understand the workings of the world.
Morality & Philosophy
Formerly: a bit of a solipist, to be honest. Ran by the philosophy of "it doesn't matter if I hurt other people, they don't really matter anyway. I'm the last of my kind and my needs out weight theirs." Especially if the victim was a s******e victim, because really, they're doing then a favor, right? There were a few exceptions to this: they wouldn't hurt Olga, because Olga was the only one who cared about them. They also wouldn't steal soul bits from murder victims.
Now, their morality is something now more similar to Olga's: do no harm, but take no shit.
