Parea

Purpose / Function

Meeting place for the collegia that cross over. Main base for the collegia that are based in the town, as well as a temporary base that is rent-able from the local collegia in the Parea itself, for a premium of course, while they are in town. Not just collegia use the Parea. Other nation's guilds use the space as well as the more polite and cordial mercenary companies that pass through occasionally. Trade negotiations between companies and signing of contracts between entities are conducted in the private rooms here. Full verification is available, but not often used due to the small nature of the hall.

Alterations

Over time the local collegia have expanded the place, with generous donations from their own accounts to maintain and expand the hall, all engraved with their logos of course. This little petty match-up between the guilds has benefited the town in that now the Parea is rather large, taking up round a street block including the individual headquarters of the individual local collegia Included in the alterations was:
  • Widening of the main hall so that it can house upwards of 100 people at a time.
  • Addition of private meeting rooms for people to rent out.
  • Lots of adornments of the collegias' livery all over the building, inside and out.

Architecture

Large, smooth stone building standing at around two stories with symbols of the collegia carved into the face of the building. Heavy imported wood doors stand open at all hours of the day to allow people to flow in and out. Inside is a sunken bar area separated from the more formal areas where people pass through and talk, provided they know the right people. From there private rooms can be found, and even some very expensive suits for those that want to drop a lot of gold and make a statement.
