The Anvil: Oakfall

The Anvil is a place of high technology and high magic. The inspiration was to be a mirror to Eberron to Dark Sun in feel. After being plagued by constant war, the world was devastated by a mysterious event. The world was scorched with a large blast of magic. The Sun became dark but now gives off more light and heat than ever. The world now resides in a post-apocalyptic desert covered in sand, fire, and lightning. "Civilizations" are ruled by magic wielders who have gone mad called Sorceror-Kings. They rule over their people, instead of restoring their land, and are the closest things you'll find to gods in The Anvil. These "Kings" have outlawed magic with their Templar being the only exception. Now magic is looked down on when practiced openly, and people fear conflict to avoid repeating the past.
