The Ander Vale Introduction (and the Child Labor Comrpromise)

The War of Innocence was by far one of the most brutal wars to ever hit The Ander Vale. At first, they took the children by force at the cradle, never to be seen again until they were the age of twenty-five. These children recognized their parents only because someone told them that to be true.   They were ready to thrive in society, with skills and careers in hand, all properly explained in a packet. But they were strangers, really.   And The Ander Vale citizens really wanted a chance to be parents.   So they went to war.   They didn't expect the soldiers fighting to keep these laws would be the very children the parents were fighting to rescue. But to their favour, they were able to rescue many lives via knocking out and kidnapping soldiers. They decimated the army without taking a single life (Though many bodies still riddle the battlefields of heartbroken mothers and fathers who just wanted a chance to hug their daughter or son)   Everything went well from there. The Ander Vale created a compromise.   The people never asked what happened to the children from ages 11-17 that stayed with the government. Centuries past, and they forgot about those kids.   Until Now.
Child Labor Compromise   All children from the ages 0-10 and 18-25 will be returned to their parents. Children of the ages 11-17 will remain in the government program and returned to their parents at the age of 18.   From hence forth, children from ages 5 to 16 must report to the Ander Vale Labor Allocation Building to receive labor assignments that they must carry out until the day that they turn 16. Then they are allowed to return home with careers, skills, and a fruitful future.   The government will assess the children in the same manner as they’ve been tested before through a rigorous course that divides their skillsets into 6 categories. Within their skillset training period, the government shall decide which languages, tools, and skills they will hone for the betterment of Ander Vale. Children are not required by law to pursue the selected careers. But choosing something different that what was planned out will put them at a great disadvantage in the world. We highly recommend that you encourage your children to go with what Ander Vale has chosen.
