Warp Cruisers

Strange, pale forms that drift the cosmos, no one is entirely sure where the Warp Cruisers came from, or what they even are.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Warp Cruisers' bodies, cabins, whatever you'd like to call it, have the silhouette of a teardrop. They are fairly flat, with two massive spikes, each about a third of the length of the Warp Cruiser, extending perpendicularly out from them from the flatten sides. They are a stark white, although they have a slight rainbowy shimmer when light hits them correctly.

Genetics and Reproduction

It is unclear how Warp Cruisers reproduce, or if they do, or if they are manufactured. No one has ever been onboard a Warp Cruiser, thereby making it impossible to determine their origins based off their interfaces-- if they indeed have any. For all we know, Warp Cruisers could be Mind Pearl or Seraph/Cherub egg cases or hatcheries. Nobody knows.

Growth Rate & Stages

Warp Cruisers range in size from personal craft to that of Jovian worlds and some even the size of stars. This would seem to indicate that they do indeed grow, but the only ones whose personalities are distinctly "older" are the Void Lords, massive, radially symmetrical Warp Cruisers who behave much in the same way, but act like cranky old people when communicating with ships.

Ecology and Habitats

Warp Cruisers wander the void of space, much in the manner of Mind Pearls, Galaxy Birds, Galaxy Krakens, Seraphim, Cherubim, and Kan-Rii. Most are too big to even enter a planet's atmosphere, and many avoid planetary space altogether, instead preferring the interstellar void.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Warp Cruisers do not appear to consume anything at all. Their hulls are completely featureless, a stark, white, smooth exterior with nothing to indicate any sort of orifice. It is generally assumed they consume dark matter or light, but none have been able to give straight answers.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Warp Cruisers are not a social species, as much as they act it towards new encounters. It can therefore be assumed they have no social structure.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Anyone who has tried to attack or even go near a Warp Cruiser on their own accord is met with instantaneous annihilation. People learned to leave them alone very quickly.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Warp Cruisers have been found in all parts of Wintergatan.

Average Intelligence

Presumably not terribly intelligent, judging by their personalities and questions, but capable of learning incredibly quickly (it does not take long for a Warp Cruiser to determine the state of the ship and crew it is conversing with and how the systems onboard function)

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Warp Cruisers have no visible sensory apparatus, but are capable of hijacking any communication system-- quantum, radio, laser, psionic, anything. They tend to do this when passing close to other ships, scrambling all communications, and using them to communicate with the crew. Their personalities are very much like that of a child, each one unique and capable of remembering species and crews they have conversed with before. And by converse, I mean play stupid games they make up whose rules make no sense, and asking slews of questions without pausing to hear the answers. As stated, like a child.

Civilization and Culture

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Warp Cruisers are fluent in every language they encounter. It may take a couple seconds of them rummaging through ships and (a disturbing thought) possibly minds, but they learn very quickly, and in that time get a firm grasp of the language.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Warp Cruisers as a whole are fascinated by other species, and many will swing by the same loop of planets every couple thousand years just to watch how they change. There are also a handful that stick around the same part of space, just chillin' with their preferred species.
Lifespan
assumedly several billion years
Conservation Status
Warp Cruisers file under the status of "Sure you can shoot it, but don't come running to us". Don't shoot them. Please.
Average Height
from spire to spire: 500,000 feet height of "body": 1,000 feet
Average Weight
unknown
Average Length
1,500,000 feet
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Warp Cruisers are a featureless blinding white that shimmers rainbow (like an oil slick) if the light hits it correctly.

Author's Notes

I'm not going to lie, the idea for the Warp Cruisers came from an episode of Dinosaur King. There was this super weird part where their on a ship that looks basically like how the Warp Cruisers look and a dragon talks to them and they're going back in time and its weird. But I thought the ship looked neat, so yeah.
