Structure

Jukko has no defined structure, as the religion isn't the most organized. Every clan and family has its own structure, usually a loose hierarchy of whoever can best who in ritual combat, with a grand Elder at the very top (although an Elder isn't necessarily older).

Jukko is a religion based on the principles of strength and survival of the fittest.

History

During the Broken Ages, just after the first human arrivals on Allergreen, humans were confined to the dangerous swamplands around what is now Illaty. The environment was incredibly hostile, and humanity was nearly annihilated as is. As a result of such brutal conditions, ideas favoring individualism, survival of the fittest, etc. gained popularity as humans struggled to survive. It is unclear who first started the religion (or some would say merely practice) of Jukko or where the name comes from, but it is clear by the end of the first era of the Broken Ages that it was in wide use, practiced by all major families, and later by Gray Belrix and others.
