Session 7: Books and Bureaucracy

General Summary

You engaged in violent combat with some government goons on a moving vehicle, and rescued Electa Bishop from their clutches. Escaping by boat and finally giving the red-haired brothers some generous tips, you bade Electa farewell, and decided to investigate the city library, the Bibliotechnica. Unlike most libraries, you found the famed institution was run by mice and offered samples of just about everything from A-Z, aside from ‘raadum’s breath’, which after insisting upon finding the specimen, ended in Crowley being thrown out. On the steps, he befriended a young woman named petunia quain.
  Inside the Bibliotechnica, an attempt was made as Morres tried to teach Lestie some basic reading skills. Lestie searched through public records on her father but did not finding any exact matches, believing her father to be a man named Sven Davisson. Morres also located and searched through Connor’s file in the Bibliotechnica, finding some family history and the name of an orphanage.
Leaving the library, you headed off toward the City Hall for a long-awaited masquerade ball. Leaving your weapons at the door, you ventured inside, meeting and chatting to several individuals of varying importance including Captain Alexis Quain, Petunia Quain, Dr Ivan Vasich, and a random microbiologist. You also witnessed Lysander and Estelle getting very friendly. Estelle had a particularly threatening conversation with Connor outside. And as you are gathered inside, upon the cold white and black mosaic tiles, waitstaff scuttling here and there between well-dressed individuals, Mr James Calico was about to make his anticipated speech.
