Session 31: The Plot Thickens

General Summary

Trapped inside the Dilution Department thanks to Teddy’s ambitious stealth mission, some crafty dealings got the party out of trouble with only a few scratches and an extra 23 gold in their pockets, courtesy of Easel von Oldaghar. While most of the party left through the window, Lestie and Hester went to visit the punk monks and warn them about their own plans to commit a terrorist attack on the educational institution. Despite the head lector’s reluctance to believe their claims without proper proof of the Dilution Department’s nefarious doings, Lestie and Hester managed to convince a young intern monk. The rest of party went through a ground floor window, finding themselves in Oldaghar’s office. They searched through Oldaghar’s belongings, finding letters to a patrician Oshe and broader dealings with the Patricians of Noir, as well as a map of the inland Tropican desert with blue crosses all over it.
The party reunited as the monks made their lunch break rush down the stairs, deciding to next visit Phyllis McAgney in East Market. There they met a woman whom one could only call paranoid, bonded with her under false pretenses, and stole from her vast supply of explosives while she went to lunch, with Satzla distracting The Baron one stall over, claiming to absolve him of his crippling IBS. You also discovered that Phyllis made spider bombs for Sinara.
Back at the Tawny Treads, Varis met with Superintendent Lev’s biomechanic, Demo di Domenico, and their raccoon Bibs. Evidently, what is left of Cage Kennickity has a part of someone’s soul inside and Cage cannot truly die until the original soul’s owner dies too.
Teddy and Lestie headed to the clubhouse in the skyshacks to inform Marion Blundy of the Dilution Department’s grand plans, hoping she could spread the word via her radio show, the Desperation Station. While outside the door, you overheard that ‘EL and JC’ were going to be present at the Sovereign’s Day celebration, as well as several world-famous warrior champions. You let yourselves in and were met with Marion and her boyfriend Marco.
