Session 21: The Black Clover
General Summary
You continued your voyage to the safe house arranged by Alexis Quain in Velija, Artoneva. Marcus fished, Varis honed their painting skills, and Morres started writing a book. Meanwhile, Lestie learned how to write her name, with the help of Common for Commoners, a magical audiobook. Olechka confided in Varis, expressing her concern about going to the safehouse, which she revealed was the home of her sister and brother-in-law. Satzla and Morres jet-skied of the back of the sub, with varying success.
Varis spoke to Psyche about letting her off the leash a little – allowing her to do what she likes as long as she doesn’t needlessly harm people. evening, Olechka, Lestie, and Satzla made cannelloni, and Marcus gave Baptiste a letter to transport to an old friend back in Vathicus.
Lestie took watch that night and spotted Vincenzo’s ship on the horizon. Vincenzo made contact via the radio system and the party, aware that they were after Baptiste, tried to execute several plans, including hiding Baptiste and mauling a corpse, before Olechka was able to pose as Baptiste over the radio and convince Vincenzo to end his vendetta against Baptiste, as long as she was willing to meet him at the Shining Serpent. Vincenzo led the Twilight Princess inside the Pipes of white-cliff-ed Velija, once used when giants roamed the island, now utilised as a bastion for illegal trades and subtle manoeuvring inside the walls of the city.
Inside, you disembarked in the dark dripping pipes and spoke to an elderly man at a nearby booth. He agreed to look after your submarine for the time being. He introduced you to a mysterious figure known as K-Jack, telling the party he would help them get wherever they need to go, using his small gondola, and vast knowledge of the city.
