Beneath The Cornucopia, as the others slept, Varis began a 4-hour operation – his magnus opus – creating, when the rest of the party woke up, a reanimated Psyche, obeying his every command. On the way up the stairs, Lestie talked to Olechka about her recent patricide. You convinced Mordeo to eat the poisoned apple, and he warned you that you would have just 3 and a half minutes to get back to the portal.
You made it just in time, but instead of the familiar La Cage Bizarre, you found yourselves in The Jumpstart Junction, in a city untouched by the rivalry of the Beaufort siblings. You met Lady Satzla Nahlis and her servants, who insisted on taking you to her mansion and cleaning you up. You had a bath and sanitised Harket’s body.
Incidentally, Captain Alexis Quain was passing through town with her battalion, and stopped in for breakfast at Nahlis House, which Olechka aided the cook, Ettie with. Varis was called on their sending stone by Mattias, whom Varis had to break the news to regarding his husband’s death.
Accompanied by Psyche, Satzla attended Captain Quain’s speech, during which the rest of the party gave Harket an appropriate sea-burial.
