Session 11: Dry Land and Air

General Summary

"Where's Crowley?"   "He's gone."
After bidding goodbye to your favourite senile toe with trenchfoot, Crowley, you sailed off into the sunset in the Twilight Princess, toward the city of Kosona. You spent the night in a variety of ways, Lestie sat atop the wheelhouse carving a rat from wood, Olechka sung a lullaby to Rat, and Morres, once again, went a night without sleep. In his dreams, Rat saw a vision of snakes and mountains, wherein a voice spoke to him. Rat revealed to the snake his deepest desire; power. As the sun rose, Morres found himself in a worse state than ever. Rat expressed anger toward Crowley for abandoning them, and he and Olechka bonded over croquembouche. As Harket steered the submarine further toward land, you spotted several corpses floating beneath the water. Just minutes later, you approached a fishing moat with people identical to the corpses aboard. You found that they had been trapped in a time loop, and eventually set them free. Or, their skeletons at least.
"Is it better to be clueless and happy, or dead?" - Olechka
In Morres’ deteriorating state, he discovered that when he cut himself, he did not bleed, and even the party’s best efforts could not cure him. He spoke with Lestie about this development, and Rat cast a spell on him, revealing that he was, indeed, undead, following the exchange of his soul.   You docked in Kosona in the early hours of the morning, and found the small city completely deserted, besides from a few teenagers who called themselves ‘shadowscouts’ led by their leader, Cyrus. You managed to avoid the shadow spirits haunting the town, who spoke to you as if they were your loved ones, and settled in for a rough night with Cyrus, their brother Lewis, a pyromaniac named Eli, and Ramona, who told you about the history of their town, and why the scouts were punished to spend their nights driving away the shadows. Kosona, it seems, is not a normal town. After exhausting the local resources, namely coal, and selling them for profit, the town ran out of light and was infested with shadows. Subsequently, the townspeople decided the only direction was up.
