Lubek is the dedicated owner of La Cage Bizarre/Jumpstart Junction in lower Kosona. In the original timeline, La Cage Bizarre served as a safe haven for shadow scouts and banished citizens alike. Lubek provided a friendly face, and most of all, somewhere light, far from the shadows that haunt lower Kosona. In the revised timeline, the Jumpstart Junction is the number one tavern in Kosona, attracting a variety of interesting patrons - with the Beaufort brothers' quarrel erased from history, Lubek's efforts are finally being given the recognition they deserve.
As well as being the owner of his tavern, Lubek manages the bar - he is always eager to please, serving all customers whatever their hearts desire, no matter how odd the order.
Over his time at La Cage Bizarre, Lubek has watched adventurers come and go, giving them the inside scoop on the city and its alleyways and attractions. This is how he met Marcus, though oddly, in the revised timeline, he has no recollection of ever meeting the rest of the party.
