Ivan Volkov

Whether he is expediting the agenda of a totalitarian regime or making innapropriate advances towards any woman in sight, meeting Watchward Ivan Volkov is never a pleasure.
Born in Konoslav to a family of prominent stonemasons and manufacturers, Ivan was the younger of two brothers. While his older brother, Bojan, was expected to take up the mantle of running Volkov and Sons Fine Marble, Ivan was initiated into Tropican high society. Generally bored by the ins and outs of politics, Ivan was relieved when he met Carlo Borscht, of the family responsible for the Borscht Academy for the Culinary Arts. Ivan and Carlo became close friends, sharing a love for sadism and the finer things in life. At age 33, Ivan was married to Mirelle Volkov (nee. Pasternak).
Though Ivan was born on Tropico's west coast, his allegiances to the Asyrican Empire became clear when he joined The Asyrican Military. He was recruited to The Watchwards after serving in the military for some time, and proving himself to be a bruitsh, intimidating figure. Additionally, he was involved in some scandal involving young female recruits, and sending him to the isolated island of Artoneva seemed a logical choice to evade retribution.
On Artoneva, Ivan is one of several prominent Watchwards able to get away with crime and controversy. Ivan lives in Tower East and is still wedded to Mirelle, though the marriage is faithless. Divorce, however, is not 'in'.
