Culdo Rybik (a.k.a. Captain Culdo)

Culdo Rybik, also known as Culdo the Rampant (and Captain Culdo, by his company), is a bandit and highwayman who gained notoriety for menacing the Adesian gentry in Cornum and Ust, during the reign of Queen Aysel I. As captain of Vox Adesium (formerly, the "Cornum Highway Boys"), he had been responsible for several crimes against the city's governing order and landed elite.

Personal history

At a young age, Culdo was exposed to the corruption and violence of the Adesian political system. As he watched his mother slip into despair following the death of his father during the Asesian Wars for Independence, Culdo developed a deep-seated resentment of the elites and governing authorities in his native city of Cornum.
When Culdo's father died, his mother took to her bed and refused to get up. She grieved and wept day after day. Her grew was pale and thin, no longer the strong, vibrant woman who had raised and cared for Culdo during his father's years away at war. Culdo grew up with the pressure of having to care for a broken adult. He never fully reconciled his conflicted feelings of love and resentment for both of his absent parents.
Fueled by this anger, Culdo set out on a path of crime and rebellion. He quickly rose to prominence among the ranks of the Cornum highwaymen, gaining notoriety for both his youth and his bold attacks on wealthy merchants and coaches traveling in and around the cities of Cornum and Ust.
