  Central Kuroth

  Kuroth is a large continent which borders on the gate of Power, also known as the Fire gate. Central Kuroth is mostly populated by a semi-nomadic people and is regularly ravaged by both sandstorms and thunderstorms. The people have developed a strong sense of solidarity with such an unforgiving environment and tend to be distrustful of arcane magic.
  The Great Cleaving is said the scar from a civil war long ago.

  The 9th World

  Some worlds are formed by natural forces over millions and millions of years. But not this world.

  • This world was made by magic.

  Some worlds are in the shape of spheres as a result of those same natural forces. But not this world.

  • This world is flat like a disc.

  Some worlds words are merely matter and physical laws entirely devoid of will. But not this world.

  • This is world of stories.

    This is The 9th World, where our story takes place.
  It is surrounded by a ring of mountains a hundred kilometres tall. No traveller who has attempted to cross them has ever returned.
  Hidden deep in these same mountains, the Teeth of the world, are they 8 Great Gates of power each one leading to a different realm. The realms of Gods and Demons and some things even stranger.
  These 8 worlds which lie beyond ours are each the embodiment of an aspect of reality.
    Power and Change, Creation and Ending, Knowledge and Ignorance, Order and Chaos.
    Each pair on opposite sides of our world which is the 9th world at the centre of the other 8. Together they create our world, alone they shape it spreading their influence to those areas and people near them. They make us, and so they say, we make them. The scholars say that our faith shapes the gods and our fears shape the demons.
  In this world of infinite possibility, I wonder what story will play out this time...
