Araxian

Araxian has it's roots in the mage wars having evolved from the then emerging trade language known as Shipspeak which took in elements of many different different languages just as the trading ships took on crew from all over. It was adopted and later codified over time by a group of scholars whose small faction aimed to put an end to the apocalyptic fighting. It is one of the simplest languages and quite easy to learn by design. Since the end of the war and the founding of Araxis over 300 years ago, the language spread as a result of the many expeditions from Araxis who were attempting to rebuild and remind people of their lost culture. It has become a sort of common tongue, though it is by no means universal and away from major trade routes communication can still be difficult.
