Q-Class Carriers

"The greatest guardian of the Old Empire" - The Library to Garfil Bri'an

The Q-Class Carrier was the backbone of the Imperial Navy. The supercarrier could carry hundreds of fighters and subjugate entire planets. Though fragile in many respects, and highly expensive to mass-produce, the ship served in the Alliance War, the Scimatian wars, and the Horde wars among others. The destroyed wrecks of the ship can be found on thousands of worlds, and remains a symbol of the First Empire.

Power Generation

The power needs of the Quiver Class Carrier was immense. 2 Heavy Fusion Reactors, each producing 100-Megawatt hours each day. The power was used to power the titanic engines, the extremely robust shields, and to recharge and refuel the docked ships.

Propulsion

The Quiver Class used 2 Brooks Titan Engine Modules for propulsion.

Weapons & Armament

The Quiver's primary weapons were the two massive Heavy Ship Cannons. However, the ship was also equipped with 120 point defense guns and 20 light anti-ship cannons.

Armor and defense

The Quiver was the most fragile ship of the Imperial Fleet due to the thin armor. The armor was used almost exclusively to protect the ship from the vaccum of space, and the ship relied on the shields and other warships to defend it from enemy attacks. The shields of the Quiver were extraordinarily powerful, capable of protecting the ship even from a supernova, though it was slow to recycle. This meant that consistent attacks on the ship would result in the shields failing.

Communication Tools & Systems

The Quiver was often the flagship of a fleet, and as such often possessed the warp communications needed to make reports to Earth, Ender, and communicate across interstellar space.

Hangars & docked vessels

The Quiver could dock with at most two Marauders, and supply power or supplies to the smaller ships.
