Welcome to Baset

Structure

Exposition

  • (Description of the start) A glowing city in the distance, Baset stands out from the blackness of the night as a sanctuary of sorts, growing closer, the darkness seems to thicken the closer you are to escaping it. You doubt you’re being followed, most could tell with a glance your more trouble than your worth, but there’s always someone who’s willing to risk their lives to rob you of yours, and everything else you may have on you, or these “corrupted” creatures people speak of encountering on roads, its impossible to know what is hiding just outside your vision that’s obscured by the Ink like nature of tonight’s darkness that makes it difficult even in the openness of the Osmarian Plains, but that’s a thought for another day, today you enter Baset. You’ve been traveling for a long time, and this seems like a good place to rest, inns might be a bit rowdy, but there’s isn’t another town for miles, so you might as well enjoy the festivities.
  • (Description of Baset) A thing of pride in Theolia, Baset. Near the heart of Theolia, Baset’s a large trade city, a place of wealth and prosperity. Where this a place of economic prosperity, it’s also found itself to be a place of great cultural diversity, many people from different countries and backgrounds coming together to trade, the place is clearly a mix-match of these different cultures, almost every other shop representing another race or culture, and the streets themselves are packed full of almost every kind of person you could name, but today is different even from Baset's common standards, the celebration of Theolia's continued prosperity in the face of evil, the streets are absolutely packed with those who come from villages far and wide, even other countries to show their support for the rising Church of Ceras, with street performers lining the already finely bricked stone road, and the Chosen of Ceras parading the streets as a symbol of Divine Might. You find yourself amongst the masses, as taverns are even more packed then you'd expected, you wonder if you'll even be able to find an open Inn to rest without paying half of everything you own.
