Thaecia

Thaecia is a vibrant and diverse fantasy world filled with lots of mythology and many lands. Thaecia is consisted of the Known World and the Unknown World. The Known World has the continents of Epsinalda, Forndole, Ordenoth, Everoth, and the Provinces.   Epsinalda, once the seat of the Empire, is a desert province renowned for its awe-inspiring glass spires that reach towards the sky. Though now surpassed in political significance, Epsinalda remains a symbol of the Empire's ancient grandeur and architectural marvels. It is the birthplace of the durian people, founders of the Empire.   Forndole is the birthplace of humanity and the henamae, and is therefore seen as the land of savages by the durians. It ranges from desolate tundra to temperate grasslands. Forndole is the world's foremost food producer, as many rivers run through its lands, leading to fertile soil.   Due to the size of Everoth, it has an even greater diversity of climates- it ranges from polar to tropical. Everoth is the hub of exploration and new ideas, as the general culture of Evers is a communal one. Unrest and rebellion against the Empire is brewing here...   The Provinces hold the seat of the Empire and much of the nobility. It is a land of high status, home to the world's foremost royal academy, Stellatore. Due to this, there is a lot of disputes about social ranking as the lower class argues against the upper class.   Ordenoth is a forzen tundra split off from Forndole. Its sudden unnatural continental drift caused it to ice over unexpectedly, leading to most inhabitants dying.   Thaecia is inhabited by a diverse array of beings. The dominant species are the durians, desert people believed to be formed from the salt of Tidis' tears. The second most common species are the humans, the versatile peoples. The henamae are the humanoid fae folk, living mainly in forests due to their deep connection with it. Dragons are also a large portion of the world's population, revered by many people of the Empire as the gods' disciples.   Religion holds a significant place in Thaecian society, with the common pantheon being the major belief system. The pantheon comprises twelve gods: Aneziya and Anzeriya, Zakraz, Sylvanna, Mystia, Tidis, Mazaria, Malith, Reist, Vaecia, Iamose, and Umbra. Each deity represents different aspects of life, such as life and death, war, nature, wisdom, and darkness. Worshipers of the pantheon seek the favor of these gods through prayers, rituals, and offerings, believing that their blessings shape the world's fortunes.   Beyond the known nations, there are other unexplored continents, waiting to be discovered. These distant lands hold mysteries, untamed wilderness, and uncharted territories, offering limitless possibilities for adventure and exploration.   Cities include New Fallsdeep, Catalon (previously Eaglesrest, it has grown in size and population), Greenstead, and much more. In fact, all that's just in Forndole!
