Majawa Swampwatch

The Majawa Swampwatch is a family run transportation company that operates within the Damarine Swamp. The company uses tamed swamp beasts to transport a variety of passengers across the swamps. Even as a newer travel company, Majawa has quickly gained a positive reputation due their comfortable and safe journeys, and some nobles have been scene using this company's services. Furthermore, as dragons under the protection of Apothecary Keverall it is often for a worker to accompany large groups of travelers to ward off opportunistic predators, or gift bags full of necessary herbs and antidotes for travelers.

Similar to the personal wishes of Guidemother Majawa, the goal of Majawa Swampwatch is to safely guide travellers through the Damarine Swamp.

History

After the death of her daughter Naran, Majawa vowed to provide safe passage through the Damarine Swamp. She sought out the rare 'Dragontamer', a fruit that grants dragon the ability to quell and befriend magic beasts. She used this fruit to tame various beasts within the swamp, and began to provide transport to those that travelled through the swamp. When she had her second clutch of eggs, it came to her attention that her ability could be passed on. As time passed, and with the encouragement from both family and those who used her services, Majawa founded the Swampwatch. Now, her family provides safe transport and protection through the Damarine Swamp.

Guided by spirits

There have been sightings of spirits that watch passengers around many of the Swampwatch's routes. Some believe that these are the jealous spirits of those who passed on their journey, while others believe them to be hallucinations and lures from the many other monsters in the swamps. However, the most common sighting is of a curious drake in the northwest part of Damarine Swamp, it's said that those who view the dragon a briefly granted with good luck. Whether or not these rumors are true or not, many chalk up Majawa's change in motto to these sightings.
