Bearrie

The walking berry bushes

"It had been a few days since i arrived in the forest, i did not know exactly how many as it was always dark because of the large forest roof but i was guessing it had been about a week. I had been wandering and my rations were starting to run thin when out the corner of my eye i spotted it. A large green bush, peppered with small red berries. I felt my mouth immideately start salivating. But then, i spotted something, something most may not have thought about. A small bone what i deduced to be a rabbit or bunny, as i focused my eyes i saw more of them all over the grove were small bones. Thinking back on what my tribes elder told me i remembered him telling me about a predator in the north that disguises themselves as bushes to lure in prey but that he thought they were nothing more than a fairytale. As i stood there thinking i had inedvertently started moving towards the bush, my stomach taking control of my body against the will of my mind. When i realized this i took a step backwards and accidentally stepped on a branch, the sound echoing through the forest. As soon as i realized my mistake i looked at the bush, it was no longer a bush but a huge bear with large horns and tusks. My fight or flight kicked in, i took the option of flight, i could feel they shame of my ancestors heavy on my shoulders but i did not care i just wanted to live" - Malkor The Mad Mage     Appearing as large bearlike creatures Bearries are renown for their fierce strength and their powerful toxic berries which are used both as a Poison and a Remedy when it is distilled by Master Alchemist.
