Valeros Ogrulson

Few have crossed this half-orc and lived to tell the tale. Valeros Ogrulson was born of human mother and orc father. His father, Ogrul is the war-chief of a great war tribe in south eastern lands, and has 12 children 6 sons and 6 daughters. Valeros is the second youngest child and his upbringing in an orc tribe gave him his ferocious nature and generally anti-social attitude towards others. To spite his birth as the son of a great war-chief he only takes pride in his own strength and accomplishments. He left his tribe in search of power, glory, and or influence to overthrow his father and become the new war-chief, because of his goal he is willing to do almost anything to gain these. He competes against all but one of his siblings (his younger sister who he dotes on) to become the new chief.   Valeros is known for his recklessness and ferocity in battle. A common tactic used by the party is to enhance his deadly strength and martial mastery through the use of a fly and haste spell. One time, this lightning fast, mighty, flying half-orc grappled a manticore in mid-air, wrestling it out of the sky by pinning its wings and sending both it and its deadly hobgoblin sorcerer rider plummeting to their death, helping to save the citizens of the city of Oleville from a deadly and unexpected assault. He recently came into the possession of the titan-stone gauntlets by trading one of the Silverbeard relics with the Archdevil Mephistopheles. These enhance his strength to an unnatural level, making him an even more fearsome foe, and an even more powerful ally.   Valeros Ogrulson brought what companions would join him back home with the purpose of seizing control of his father’s massive orc war band. It was discovered upon arrival that the war band had been violently and utterly annihilated. After shedding exactly 1 small tear and returning to the Varconian Empire, Valeros reflected on his life and unfathomable wealth. This led him to found the harbour town Maulami, where he settled with orcs and goblins affected by the war against the Empire, to live peacefully within the Empire’s borders.   Valeros retired there having mostly renounced violence, he was Mayor for Life until his peaceful passing at age 68 and a half. He sired no children but adopted one apprentice who was elected Mayor after him.   While alive Valeros claimed he traded his Strenghth Gauntlets™️ (The Titanstone Gauntlets) for connections to aid the founding of Maulami, rumours in town say they’re in the desk of the Mayor’s office.
