Eyes of Ioun

The Eyes of Ioun are a faction spread throughout the kingdom devoted to the collection of knowledge, and the sharing of knowledge with people who have proven their trustworthiness. Keeping in line with the ideals of their patron deity, they dislike keeping secrets, but do maintain restrictions on knowledge which they consider to be dangerous.

Structure

Structured into separate archives across the kingdom, which are all unified and working collaboratively towards their common ideals.   There are separate hierarchies for the information cataloguing and information gathering aspects of the faction.   Catologuing:   High Curator - Those to whom all other members of their archive must ultimately answer.   Curator - A small group of three to five curators manage the top-level operations of each archive.   High Archvisit (optional) - Manages the operations of the archivists within an archive, and reports to a Curator. Only the largest archives this additional organizational level between archivists and curators, most archives have the archivists reporting to the Curators.   Archvisit - Charged with organizing the overwhelming flow of information from returning researching expeditions, training new researchers, and performing administrative tasks within their local archive.   Expositor - Trained in the art of espionage, the expositors take on the duty of uncovering secrets and obscure knowledge. Their true mission is unknown to low-ranking monks, who see them simply as well-trained field agents. Expositors report only to their High Curator.   Inquisitor - Well trained field agents with a specialty in interrogation and diplomatically consulting with other factions.   Monk - A member of the library with the most visible public duties: searching out knowledge both modern and archaic, and aiding archivists with its preservation within an archive.
