The Etherious Populous

Introduction and Basics: "Etherious"
"Etherious" is the term used to describe creatures and objects with a distinct ether component. When used to describe people be it, human, seraph, deamos or wyverian it refers to those with conscious control over their own ether. Despite everyone having ether, not all have control over it and must be acuired. There are many institutes dedicated to the development or cultivation of an ability using varying techniques and practices, but all have the same goal.
The Universal Applications
Ether Conduction:
Ether is stored, replenished and flows within the body of an etherious, but can be taught to be conducted to specific things. Taught to the newly awakened is the conduction throughout the body commonly referred to as a "Veil". It strengthens the body and protects it creating somewhat of a shield, the degree of protection and enhancement depends on the strength of the user and at intermediate skill any wounds or damage that the cloak couldn't completely mitigate will be quickly healed and repaired instead. Also at an intermediate skill level, people may conduct their ether through objects to enhance them as well.

Ether Core:
One rather miraculous phenomena that is seemingly innate to those attuned to ether is an ether core. A core, not only facilitating one's power, is also their last resort for survival. When the body is damaged to the point of complete dysfunctionality, all remaining ether will begin to concentrate into the individual's core, often found in the chest appearing to be a small gem-like matrix and be set to an incubation state, the person remaining dormant within. While in this state, the core concentrates on regenerating enough ether to repair whatever body is left or in extreme cases, generating a new one. if the core is damaged after the body is lost, it may leave some permanent damage to the body if not treated quickly enough, and if destroyed, death ensues. Rarely does a core need to do this without help as it can be collected and sent to be properly treated and protected, often speeding up the process of bodily regeneration.
