Aquan   Tongue of the sea. Legend says that Aquan was first spoken between the old gods of the sea, but no one is really certain where it is from. It spoken both by the elements of the sea and the many sentient creatures that live on shores of Tearea. In modern times, many sailors and pirates leaned the tongue of the sea, allowing for men from different lands to communicate on the sea. And just to make things clear, no, fish do not speak Aquan.     Common   A language constructed by all other languages, the letters, words and conjugations of the common language is adopted by another languages. It naturally spoken by humans, who created and modified it during the ages when new tribes of men appeared in different parts of the world, speaking the common language of that part and thereby speaking the new vocabulary into the language.   Draconic   Language of wizards and sages. During the Draconic rule of Gertia, a great golden age of arcana prevailed. Of course, when the dragons disappeared the knowledge and invention stopped immediately, for the tutors of men were gone. Today, many mages and spellcasters learn Draconic is a second language to read those precious and ancient books the dragons left behind them and study their arts, but at the same time many simple beasts, like the kobold (an old servant of the dragons) speak it too.   Elvish and gnomish   These two languages share the same alphabet (originally wood-elvish) and sound quite similar. The Gnomes are not ashamed to admit that the elves are the one who invented the language first, though the most poular poetry and fiction is actually translated from Gnomish. Some different dialects exist within these languages. Elvish have many – wood elves and high elves mock each other’s accent, and even within these there are different accent for different parts of Anoria. But both types of elves along with the gnomes, mock one accent above all others – and that is the one of the half elves, filthen with human tongue.   Giant, Dwarvish and Halfling   These three languages share the same alphabet (originally giant), but sound quite different – dwarvish is hard and loud, every letter in the word is extremely pronounced. Giant is a very long and heavy language. The halfling language is made of many small words pronounced very fast, it’s a very chatty. Still, just like in European languages – they share common words, such as eat, attack, run and hello – it is quite easy to learn the other if you know another one already. Some different dialects exist within these languages. For example, dwarves have surface and cave dialects, and use different phrases and slang. Giants pronounce their language very slowly, making some of the Goliaths who speak the language very inpatient.
